WINN
GARDENS
Winn Gardens is an estate with over 350 homes located in the north of the Hillsborough ward. The estate is full of life, being home to an ethnically and culturally diverse population; unfortunately, there are also high levels of deprivation regarding housing, income, health outcomes, education, and employment. St John's (STJB) has been working on Winn Gardens since 2007 to help tackle some of these issues and to share Jesus with the residents.
Supported by Zest, the Winn Gardens Tenants and Residents Association, and other agencies, Joel Hamer (the Winn Gardens Community Pioneer) and a team of volunteers are working alongside residents to improve their lives and point them to Jesus. This includes 1 - 1 support for people with a wide range of issues as well as the regular activities listed below.
